Destination Wish List

We are only roughly planning our travels for the first leg our trip as my Mum & Dad are only joining us for around 5 weeks.

So here is the list of the destinations we are planning to share with them:

  • Mitchell Hot Springs
  • Charleville
  • Mitchell
  • Quilpie
  • Welford National Park
  • Windorah
  • Coopers Creek
  • Cordillo Downs
  • Birdsville
  • Simpson Desert
  • Poepell Corner
  • Boulia
  • Plenty Highway – including Tobermorey, Harts Range, Jervois Station and Gem Tree
  • Alice Springs
  • Arltunga
  • West McDonnell Ranges
  • East McDonnell Ranges
  • Chambers Pillar
  • Erldunda
  • Uluru
  • Olgas
  • Kings Canyon
  • Palm Valley

So that is over 20 destinations in the first five weeks – we will be re-visting these areas again throughout the trip to spend a bit longer at each place.

When Mum and Dad head back over home to Queensland. Shaun and I will be heading north to start with up to the Top End just before the wet season!! I’ve been there at the same time of year before and I would do it again.

From Palm Valley

  • Tennant Creek
  • Daly Waters
  • Newcastle Waters
  • Mataranka
  • Katherine Gorge
  • Litchfield National Park
  • Darwin
  • Kakadu
  • Mount Isa
  • Doomadgee
  • Blackall

The above are just a few places we want to pass through or stay. We don’t really have any set plans except that we need to get to Griffith, NSW by early to mid December, 2011 for a couple of months work on Shaun’s uncles farm.
