The Good, The Bad and the God Damn Ugly (Part 1)

This post is our personal opinions only. As we found while travelling around ask for people’s advice, take it with a grain of salt, do it anyway and find out for yourself.

If you listen to what everyone else says you would just stay at home. One person’s idea of a crappy caravan is your idea of a perfect one. One person’s idea of a rough road is your idea of a smooth ride. You have to discover things for yourself.

If you never ever go you will never ever know.

Best Caravan Parks

One: Cooinda Lodge, Kakadu, Northern Territory

Two: Adelaide Shores, near Glenelg, South Australia

Three: Tobermorey, Plenty Highway, Northern Territory

Special Mention: Channel County Caravan Park, Quilpie, Queensland. Bedourie Council Caravan Park, Bedourie, Queensland. Heavitree Gap, Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Daly Waters Pub, Daly Waters, Northern Territory.

Best Free Camps/National Park Camps

There is no such thing as a bad free camp I guess because it’s free. Well they might be but we didn’t come across any bad free camps anyway.

Best Motel/Hotel

One: Darwin Medina Vibe (ignore people’s comments on Trip Advisor – we loved it here. Everything was excellent we came for 3 nights stayed for 6. Go figure)

Three: Coober Pedy Comfort Inn (lovely family run business, excellent customer service)
