to Longreach with love

To Longreach with love,

We all love a sunburnt country, but we really need our rain.

As we drove by drought-stricken paddocks, we saw your heartache and your pain.

With each mile of endless dryness, and each dusty patch of dirt.

We pray you get the rain you need, and pray it heals your hurt.

You are strong and resilient, though this drought has pushed you far.

Your strength and perseverance, shows us what Australians really are.
