Oh Boy’s Weekend

Well I broke a cardinal sin. I gate-crashed a boy’s weekend. Oh boy!

Last weekend we headed to Manar Park in the South Burnett region of Queensland for a boy’s weekend of sorts. I had a uni assignment due and some deadlines for some writing projects so I offered to tag along and utilise the tent as an office. With no distractions and no service it was the perfect way to get the job done.

Manar Park is an “adventure park” combining over 200km of  dirt-bike trails and over 230km of 4WD tracks on rural cattle property out from Proston, QLD. The property has multiple camping options from bush-camping through to powered sites and even offers air-conditioned cabins & dongas.

While I was typing away at the camp-site the boys hit the trails with their bikes. The boys said the trails were well maintained, challenging and clearly signed. They also had a crack at the various motocross tracks on site

Manar Park is a great place for the boy’s weekend but I’m sure there are plenty of families and girls who love this place too.
